Chaco Canyon: Decades in the Making

Acoma Pueblo Gov. Brian Vallo traveled to the sacred site Chaco Canyon in Northwestern New Mexico last week. He was joined by tribal, state and federal leaders celebrating the announcement that President Joe Biden will block new federal oil and gas leasing within a 10-mile radius of Chaco over the next 20 years. He joins us to talk about the history and challenges they faced to get to this point. ICT's national correspondent Joaqlin Estus covered the Honoring Nations awards presented by the The Harvard Project on the American Indian Economic Development. The idea is celebrating the stories of the outstanding programs in self governance. She joins the show to talk details on the winners.
