My Bolivia
Rick Tejada-Flores is an American filmmaker who's worked for years telling other people's stories. In MY BOLIVIA he travels to the land of his parents to discovery his own family's story, seeing for the first time the places his parents told him about - and learning the secrets they never discussed. Tejada-FLores knew his grandfather was Bolivia's president in the 1930's, but never heard of his role in Latin America's bloodiest war. The family owned land and slaves, until another relative, he discovers, helped lead the revolution that stripped them of land and power. And finally he finds the story of a Nazi war criminal, hiding under an assumed name at one of their properties.
