Unity Dinners

Unity Dinners

episode

A series of fun, healthy dinners held to bring together Chicago’s North Lawndale and Little Village neighborhoods through the shared experience of food. The Unity Dinners project saw 15 leaders and community members, ranging in age from 17 to 70, meet once a month to break down cultural barriers through breaking bread. Made by Kartemquin Films in collaboration with Free Spirit Media, Enlace Chicago and Firehouse Community Arts Center. The film was produced by Zak Piper, directed by Gordon Quinn and Zak Piper, and edited by Nora Gully. Photo by David Babb.
